About Rachel
Hi, I’m Rachel — a faith-driven mom blogger, wife, homeschooler, and firm believer in raising kids who are present, curious, and deeply rooted.
I’m mom to three wonderful boys, ages 6–11. Some know me as a certified nutrition coach. Others know me as the Type A mom who over-researches everything — and then teaches her boys to do the same, while somehow also slowing down enough to notice the world around them.
We’re more pine trees than roses, honestly. The forest is our jam. Which works out well, because I did not inherit my dad’s green thumb. I cannot keep a plant alive to save my life. Not even a cactus.
This is where real life and intentional living meet — and it’s honestly my favorite place to be.
I didn’t set out to create kids’ activities or blog posts. I was just a mom who was tired of handing my kids a screen every time we loaded up the truck for a cross-country trip.
We homeschool, so learning already shows up in our everyday life — but our best moments have never come from an official curriculum. They happened on hiking trails, at the beach, in campgrounds after dinner when one of my boys found something weird in the dirt and we all ended up crouched around it for twenty minutes trying to figure out what it was. (A dead cicada, for the record.)
That’s what I want more of. For my family and for yours.
The philosophy behind everything I make
Around the same time I started leaning into outdoor exploration — we were fully part of the 2020 buy-a-camper-and-hit-the-road club — I was also coming out of a season where I’d finally started taking care of myself again. After my third baby, I dragged a bench onto the back porch, grabbed three pairs of dumbbells, and started lifting. Small move, but a big shift.
I got certified through Precision Nutrition and learned how to actually fuel my body — not shrink it, not punish it. Just take care of it. Then I started helping other mamas do the same.
That mindset quietly shaped everything else I do now.
Steady over extreme. Nourished over drained.
It applies to food, to fitness, and to how I want to raise my boys. No pressure. No perfection. Just showing up consistently in a way that actually feels good.
My Journey as a Faith-Driven Mom Blogger + What You’ll Find Here
Activity packs and travel learning guides that give kids something real to do while you’re on the road or out in nature — without turning your vacation into school.
Simple, structured ways for kids to look up, slow down, and get genuinely curious about the world around them. My boys are my best — and most honest — testers. If it doesn’t hold their attention, it doesn’t make the cut.
These resources work for homeschool families, roadschooling families, and traditionally schooled families alike. Really, they’re for any parent who wants their kid a little more engaged and a little less plugged in while they travel.
As a faith-driven mom blogger, I share the real, unfiltered version of what intentional family life actually looks like.
A little more, if you want it
As a faith-driven mom blogger, I try to share the honest version of what this season of life actually looks like. John 15 is a verse I’m currently leaning into hard — abide, and let God handle the fruit. That one truth is taking more pressure off than anything else I’ve found.
I also share my family’s tried-and-true recipes here, most of them high protein because fueling well matters to us. I love to strength train, eat real food, drink my coffee before anyone finds me, and spend as much time outside with my boys as possible. Thankfully, that’s a lot.
I’m really glad you found this little corner of the internet. Stick around. 🌿
